DVD and Blu-ray region codes are a digital rights management technique designed to allow rights holders to control the international distribution of release, including its content, release date, and price, all according to the appropriate region. This is achieved by way of region-locked Blu-ray players, which will play back only discs encoded to their region. MultiRegion Blu-ray players, which ignore region coding, are modified to be region-free, allowing playback of discs from multiple regions DVD 1-8 and Blu-ray A,B and C.

Due to manufacturer hardware specifications some players are only available for MultiRegion playback of DVD while others are capable of both Blu-ray and DVD.

To protect your investment all 'Blu-ray modified' products come with a 3 year warranty.

Products which will only play DVD MultiRegion will be listed as ‘MultiRegion for DVD’ in the product title along with this logo displayed on the product image.

Products which will play MultiRegion for both DVD and Blu-ray will be listed with ‘MultiRegion’ in the product title along with this logo displayed on the product image.
